Come join us for a rub-fest of sorts, a first chance at making rubbings, or hand-made prints from the etched plates in my new installation, “Christian French’s Distributive Art Gallery”. The theme is building the future, and you can collect your own set of “tools” to do just that. This temporary version is a part of STart’s (Sound Transit Art Program) series of temporary installations at the various sites of future Light Rail stations.
Some materials will be provided (paper, charcoal, pastels, etc) courtesy of Blick Art Supply and my closet, but feel free to bring whatever paper and medium you prefer.
I’ll give a concise etched rubbing demonstration at 1pm, the rest is up to you. Each panel is 12"x19" so anything 11"x14" will work, but hey, you can come back as any times as you like. That's the beauty of public art.
Free and open to the public. All Ages! Carrots!
